For Broncos fans, the 2012 season is one to be excited for – and with training camp already underway, many teammates of Peyton Manning are thrilled to have an iconic quarterback playing for the team. After last season’s ‘Tebow Mania’, fans are ready for the Broncos to be contenders in Super Bowl XLVII, and many think Manning can take them there.

However, are the expectations realistic? According to ESPN, there are a few issues that the team must deal with before the season gets started.  First is the topic of Manning’s health – his previous injuries and surgeries cost him plenty of playing time in the 2011 season, but his Broncos teammates and coaches aren’t as concerned. After a full practice with pads, Coach John Fox says Manning is showing excellent performance and goes so far as to say his previous health concerns are no longer an issue.

Another issue with the Broncos team is the defense. Coach Fox and defensive coordinator Dennis Allen worked with the team last season to make some improvements, and this season Jack Del Rio of Jacksonville will work with Fox to get the team even more ready – especially since suspensions (or possible suspensions) are affecting players D.J. Williams and Elvis Dumervil.

John Fox seems to be making progress with the Broncos — enough to allow many to think a trip to the Super Bowl is in order. Despite a rough start for the team last year, Denver managed to make it to the playoffs – and in his second year of coaching the Carolina Panthers, Fox led his team to the Super Bowl.

We want to hear your opinion! With Manning’s talent and Fox’s coaching, do you think the Broncos have a good chance at the Super Bowl?
