Playing for the first time since the end of the 2010 season, Terrell Owens took to the field during practice as a Seattle Seahawk today. The 38-year-old, who didn’t play at all last season, had some good moments catching long passes and others where he struggled to break free of the opponent, namely Brandon Browner. There was one noticeable difference with T.O. this time around – a humbled player.

While T.O. has been known on and off the field, his absence from the NFL has made him a changed man. In an interview featured on ESPN, he explains, “”It’s all about for me now being part of something rather than being the center of something. I understand a lot of the media is here because of me and again, I have changed in a lot of ways,” he said. “A lot of things have occurred in the last two years, and I’ve had a lot of time to think about things and put things in perspective and I just want to move forward and leave all the things that happened five to 10 years ago behind me. That’s where I am mentally.”

Owens signed a one-year contract with the Seahawks on Tuesday, and his first day on the practice field shows promise – especially since he’s been absent from the game for almost two years. Does anyone believe he has changed? “From my point of view, I know I’ve matured and changed in a lot of different ways,” Owens said. “Whether other people think that way, that’s up to them. I’ve always been motivated and driven by my family — I know what’s most important to me. But the last two years have been life-changing for myself. I don’t want to sit up here and try to emphasize how much I’ve changed — I think you’ll kind of see that as these days go along. It’s more about actions speaking louder than words.”

What do you think? Does Terrell Owens still have a few good seasons in him, or is his time in the NFL coming to an end. Sound off!
